The fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming above all adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects represent the main danger.

The fresh snow and the widespread mostly small wind slabs represent the main danger. Especially on steep sunny slopes medium-sized natural avalanches must be expected.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack will be favourable at intermediate and high altitudes. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitude brittle wind slabs will form.
