Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Although unlikely, you could trigger an avalanche if you find a hard slab of wind-drifted snow over old, weak snow near the ground. You'll most likely find these isolated places in a steep gully or a drift right below the ridgetop. Avoid these drifts, especially where they're above a terrain trap like a cliff or creekbed.
