Avalanche Summary

You can trigger a dangerous avalanche on some steep slopes facing west through north to southeast. Many slopes below around 10,500 feet no longer have the dangerous slab over weak layer combination and at higher elevations you probably won't see any signs of instability before triggering an avalanche. Don't let this lack of obvious signs of instability such as cracking and collapsing in the snowpack lure you into steeper, more dangerous terrain. You can stick to low-elevation, wind-sheltered south and southwest-facing slopes or avoid travel on or under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees for safer travel options.
