Avalanche Summary

Dangerous avalanche conditions exist on northerly and easterly-facing slopes at upper elevations. Strong winds drifted new snow into cohesive slabs below ridgelines, convex rollovers, and on the sides of gully features. Look for and avoid steep slopes with signs of recent wind-loading like freshly built cornices and bulbous, lens-shaped pillows of snow. Recent avalanche activity and cracking within the new snow are obvious signs of instability and an indication to move to wind-sheltered low-angle slopes for safer travel.
