The snowpack is still thin in most areas. You may find some isolated spots of danger near and above treeline in places that catch and hold wind-drifted snow. The most dangerous slopes face north, northeast, and east. The danger may extend to southeast-facing slopes in a few areas. Unfortunately, any steep slope that harbors continuous snow cover could produce an avalanche. Avoid wind-drifted areas and stick to lower-angle terrain.
