Points saillants

Over a foot of new snow has fallen during the past four days at the higher elevations. The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 9,000 feet. Some potential exists for humans to trigger pockets of wind slab up to two feet in depth in steep avalanche terrain on old snow layers. Avalanches are unlikely in areas where the recent new snow lies upon bare ground.
