Points saillants
On northerly aspects at upper elevations isolated pockets of surface slabs to 14 inches in depth persist in shaded areas and could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones. Yesterday a slide was triggered on No Name peak south of the Jackson Hole Resort on a northeast facing slope. Southerly aspects at all elevations have strong sun crusts and present little hazard as temperatures are not expected to warm enough to create wet slides. In shaded areas at mid elevations shallow slabs resting on a layer of buried surface hoar remain in isolated pockets.
