A stronger system willl begin to affect the area Monday afternoon with strong westerly winds and gusts to 50 mph. Mountain high temperatures will be in the upper teens. Snowfall totals are forecasted to be in the two inch range and the General Avalanche Hazard is expected to remain LOW at all elevations. The early season snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Backcountry travelers who venture in cliff areas and steep north facing couloirs could trigger slabs in isolated pockets.
