Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 8,500 feet and LOW below this elevation. Recent snow and strong west-southwest winds have formed soft slabs up to two feet in depth on leeward aspects. These surface slabs could be triggered by humans who venture onto steep avalanche prone slopes particularly near ridge crests and cliff areas.
