Low does not mean no hazard exists and the possibility remains for backcountry riders and skiers to trigger pockets of surface slab to eighteen inches in depth in steep wind loaded terrain near ridge crests. Small wet slides may become possible on lower elevation slopes as temperatures rise this afternoon.

Highs temperatures are to be in the twenties in the mountains and winds are to be Westerly at 20-30 mph. The avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Wednesday. In steep wind loaded upper elevation terrain the possibility will continue to trigger surface slabs in isolated pockets.
