Points saillants
At the mid and upper elevations new snow and wind have further loaded an unstable snowpack. Soft slabs up to 3 feet in depth lie upon weak layers of buried surface hoar and a slick October crust. These slabs will be sensitive to human triggers on moderate and steeply angled wind loaded slopes. Natural avalanches are possible on steep wind loaded aspects. Avalanches are unlikley at the lower elevations except in isolated pockets.
