Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. New snow wind have deposited soft slabs up to two feet in depth in the mountains. These slabs lie on a hard crust from recent warming and sun and should be bonding well to that crust. However on steep avalanche terrain pockets of these slabs could be released and quickly gather enough volume to bury a rider, skier, or boarder in a terrain trap and/or sweep them over a cliff/rocky area.
