Points saillants
The avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today on the west side of the continental divide and HIGH on the east side where it appears more new snow has fallen. New soft slabs one to three in depth have been formed by west-southwest winds. These DANGEROUS slabs lie upon a weak unstable surface comprised of faceted snow crystals. Natural activity is possible and human triggered avalanches are likely in steep avalanche prone terrain. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN AREAS WITH LOTS OF NEW SNOW.
