Winds, North-North-West throughout, gale to storm force overnight but expected to ease during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A cold day with snow showers at all levels. Gale to storm force winds from the North-West. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab continue to develop mainly on North-East through South-East to South aspects above 900 metres. Deepest accumulations are to be found in steep, wind sheltered locations such as around corrie rims and in gully tops. Elsewhere, there is a covering of dry unconsolidated snow with deeper drifts down to lower levels. Many exposed aspects are scoured. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
