CM for 09/04/22 Localised new windslab on steep E to S aspects above 900m. Good stability elsewhere. Moderate Hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: Accumulations of new moderately bonded windslab expected on steep East to South aspects above 900m. Distribution tending to be localised and confined to coire rims and gully exits. The old exposed, patchy snowpack will remain well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Moderate West-North-West winds. Dry before midnight then a few light snow showers extending into daylight hours. Cold overnight then temperatures easing a little during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cold overnight but milder in the sun during the day. Occasional brief, light snow showers.
