Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger will prevail.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls, and in gullies and bowls. Individual wet and gliding avalanches are possible.

Snowpack Structure

Snow cover is absent or patchy in many areas, up to the highest altitudes on the southern slopes; in general, the snowpack is increasingly thinning. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good. The weather conditions will give rise to consolidation of the snowpack.
