Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard at the Upper elevations is MODERATE where snow and wind over the past week have formed slabs six to eighteen inches in depth. Isolated pockets of these slabs could be triggered by backcountry travelers today in steep terrain near the higher ridgecrests where the newer snow is underlain by a hard crust formed in early November. Avalanches are unlikely at the Mid and Low elevations where this crust is absent.
