Points saillants
A thin early season snowpack exists above an elevation of 8,500 feet. It is comprised of snow that fell in October and has been subjected to repeated melt-freeze cycles. Surface hoar growth has occurred on this old snow surface. The ground surface is bare below an elevation of 8,500 feet.
