Avalanche Summary

Cautiously approach northerly and east-facing slopes steeper than about 30 degrees near and above treeline. Winds drifted the most snow onto those slopes forming cohesive slabs of snow on top of weaker snow layers. An avalanche triggered could grow large enough to bury or injure you on slopes with weak snow layers buried one to two feet deep. Steer clear of places that look filled-in or rounded, and re-route your travel plans if you see shooting cracks, hear rumbling collapses, or see recent avalanches. Wind-sheltered or lower-angled slopes offer safer travel options.
