Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche on slopes that face northwest to north through east. The most dangerous areas are steep slopes just below ridgelines or along gully features, where strong winds drifted stiffer layers of snow over weak snow at the ground. Shooting cracks or audible collapsing are signs of unstable snow. If you observe these signs, you should move to slopes less than about 30 degrees.
