The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Recent snow and strong south to southwest winds have formed slabs up to four feet in depth that lie upon crusts at the higher elevations and surface hoar at the lower elevations. DANGEROUS human triggered avalanches are likely in steep avalanche prone terrain.
