Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Several days of northwest winds have formed new surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth on the leeward aspects of upper elevation ridges. At all elevations a weak layer of bured surface hoar persist at a depth of one to three feet. This buried layer is a potential failure surface. Sunballing and loose snow sluffs are possible on steep sunlit aspects as the the day warms.
