Avalanche Summary

Warming temperatures increase the chance of wet avalanches. Start and end your day early and move off slopes with rapidly wetting snow. If you punch into moist snow higher than your boot top, it's time to move to a shady slope or lower-angle terrain.

On slopes that tilt to the north, you may still be able to trigger a small slide in isolated or extreme terrain. If you were to trigger a slide, it would be from a shallow spot on a very steep slope.
