Avalanche Summary

A winter storm will bring dangerous avalanche conditions to the area throughout the day on Thursday. The most dangerous slopes face northwest through north to east near and above treeline. Avoid traveling on or underneath steep slopes facing these directions. You can find safer travel options by traveling earlier in the day before snow totals start to exceed about 6 to 8 inches and by sticking to wind-sheltered slopes where you find soft, cohesionless snow down to the ground.
