Avalanche Summary

Storm snow has piled up, creating small but easily triggered avalanches. Problem spots are steep, shady slopes where previous storms drifted snow and smoothed out the underlying terrain. The new snow may feel chalky or stiff from the wind. The older snow will feel very stiff underneath, maybe with hollow-feeling layers below. Small avalanches can drag you on an unforgiving ride through rocks or trees.
