Points saillants

One to two feet of snow since Wednesday and strong West winds have resulted in dangerous avalanche conditions in the backcountry. In steep terrain, skiers and riders have the potential to trigger sensitive soft slabs to thirty inches that may also involve older hard slabs with depths to an additional three feet. This danger will increase today as additional snow, wind, and warming temperatures occur. Careful snowpack evaluation, cautious routefinding and conservative decision making is essential. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely.
