Avalanche Summary
Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Watch for loose snow sluffing on steep, wind-sheltered northerly-facing slopes near and below treeline. You may also trigger thin snow drifts on east-facing slopes that could collapse or produce shooting cracks. These small, generally harmless slides could grow big enough to knock you off your feet and push you somewhere you don’t want to go. To reduce your risk from these small slides, steer around slopes steeper than around 40 degrees with more than 6 inches of loose surface snow or areas that look smooth and pillow-like or feel hard underfoot.
