Points saillants

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today in terrain above 7,500 feet in elevation. DANGEROUS soft slabs up to three feet in depth lie on older weak layers of snow and continue to be easily triggered on a variety of steep wind loaded aspects. Increasing ridgetop winds are loading avalanche starting zones and raising the potential for these slabs to be triggered. Below 7,500 feet the general avalanche hazard is low.
