Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE in steep avalanche terrain where dense slabs up to 30 inches in depth lie upon weak faceted October snow. These dangerous slabs are likely to be easily triggered by humans or could release naturally. Avalanches are unlikley in areas not underlain by old snow layers.
