Slab avalanches are possible in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,. Small to medium-sized avalanches are possible. There is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase on sunny slopes.

The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a crust that is strong in many cases. Field observations and snow profiles confirm that the stability of the snowpack varies greatly within a small area. Weak layers exist in the snowpack.

The avalanche danger will persist.
