Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wet snow

    • Above 1,900 m

Avalanche Activity

Natural moist avalanches and wet snow slides and avalanches are the main danger.

As a consequence of warming small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized wet snow slides and avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. In gullies and bowls and on steep sunny slopes the avalanche situation is more dangerous. This applies in particular on east, south and west facing slopes.

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1900 m only a little snow is lying. The older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. The weather conditions fostered a slight rise in the danger of moist and wet avalanches in particular on steep sunny slopes.
