Some fresh snow and the small wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence. The conditions are generally favourable.

Some fresh snow as well as the wind slabs to be found in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, above the tree line.

Snowpack Structure

Some fresh snow as well as the wind slabs are lying on top of a weakly bonded old snowpack in particular on very steep shady slopes above the tree line.
