Individual dry avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small. The older wind slabs are mostly small and can be released by large loads in particular. This applies especially on very steep slopes adjacent to ridgelines. Some fresh snow and in particular the mostly small wind slabs will be deposited on surface hoar in some places in particular on shady slopes. The dry avalanches are only shallow but in some cases easily released.

The mostly small wind slabs of last week have bonded quite well with the old snowpack. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack. These conditions brought about a substantial settling of the near-surface layers in particular on sunny slopes.

In particular in the regions exposed to the foehn wind light snowfall above approximately 2300 m. Up to 2000 m and above rain will fall. As the snowfall level rises the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses.
