Points saillants

Low avalanche danger exists today with natural and human triggered avalanche activity very unlikely. You may find some firm, stubborn wind slabs in isolated, exposed locations and dry, loose sluffing in steep, wind sheltered terrain but otherwise the snowpack is generally stable at this time. Continue to practice safe travel techniques such as moving one at a time on steep slopes and carrying avalanche rescue gear at all times.

Avalanche Discussion

Skies are to remain mostly cloudy with a chance for light snow showers developing in the afternoon. A slight morning inversion should break down with increasing west winds as temperatures rise to nearly 20 degrees. The general avalanche danger will be Low in all forecast areas. Avalanches are unlikely except for a slight chance for small isolated pockets in the steepest terrain.
