New snow has fallen, but early season, shallow snowpack conditions remain. Be cautious of rocks and shallow coverage, especially near windswept ridges. Wind slabs and storm slabs in the upper elevations are unlikely to be triggered naturally, human-triggered avalanches remain possible. Avoid recently wind loaded slopes in alpine terrain and beware of their run-out zones.
Precipitation during early season storms produced a deep snowpack at higher elevations; while lower elevation saw fluctuating temperatures with rain on snow. On Nov 12th, surface hoar was widespread and observed even while driving. These weak snow formations could be burried within the snowpack, especially in wind protected terrain. Nov 29th visible wind transport of snow was observed at upper elevations, and built sensitive wind slabs on north aspects.
