Points saillants

Avalanches will be unlikely on Thursday. Keep an eye out for isolated pockets of unstable wind drifted snow on steep northerly slopes near and above treeline.

On Wednesday, I observed light blowing snow near treeline although I did not find anything I would call a wind slab. There is around 1-2" of soft snow on the surface at the mid and upper elevations so there is some snow to blow around but not much. However, it will be good to keep looking for isolated pockets of terrain where shallow wind slabs may be lurking on those features that accumulate blowing snow. Be aware of where small amounts of snow sliding can lead to a fall down a steep slope.
