The new snow is lying on surface hoar in particular on wind-protected shady slopes.

The new snow and wind slabs of yesterday can be released by a single winter sport participant especially on north to northeast to northwest facing aspects. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in north to northeast to northwest facing aspects and on wind-loaded slopes.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of low temperatures and solar radiation the snowpack consolidated. The snowpack remains unfavourable in particular on very steep shady slopes.
