Forecast Snow Stability: Some minor wet snow instability is possible late morning but only on some very steep North West to North East aspects above 950 metres. Elsewhere the firm snowpack will become moist after midday but remain well stabilised. All cornices will soften and weaken later. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Some light snow showers overnight turning to rain by mid morning. Cold then the freezing level rising to well above summits during the afternoon. Moderate South South Easterly winds becoming strong by morning. Observed Weather Influences: Clear, dry and cold, though milder where sun exposed during the day. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in all locations. The diminished snowpack is firm or hard in most locations though sun exposed areas were less unyielding later. Numerous cornices overhang very steep North to South East aspects and most remained frozen throughout the period except for those above sun affected East to South East aspects. Effective snow line around 850 metres today with larger expanses above this altitude. The avalanche hazard is Low.
