Avalanche Activity

Predominantly low avalanche danger, slight daytime danger cycle

Avalanche danger is low, possibly rising later in the day. Danger of wet-snow avalanches will increase, naturally triggered glide-snow avalanches on steep smooth slopes cannot be ruled out.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is consolidating, beneath it the layers are still moist and quickly become instable, and can glide over smooth ground at any time. Only at high altitudes is there a cohesive snowpack. The slopes are becoming bare of snow.

Weather Forecast

On Thursday, mostly sunny and mild, light winds. At 2000 m: +7 degrees; at 1500 m: +10 degrees. On Friday, mild and sunny, high clouds passing through, light to moderate northerly winds. At 2000 m in the north: +8 degrees, in the south +11 degrees.

Tendency

On the weekend, enduring high-pressure front conditions. Attention necessary to daytime danger cycle. Backcountry tours should be terminated early in the day. The slopes are becoming bare of snow. The next Avalanche Bulletin will be published on Friday.
