Points saillants

Slabs from recent snow and wind have formed at the mid and upper elevations that lie upon lighter density snow and crusts. These slabs have become less sensitive due to settlement and cold temperatures however could be human triggered today with depths up to five feet at the higher elevations. At low elevations, slabs to four feet could be triggered that lie upon buried surface hoar and faceted snow. Yesterday, a skier rescued himself after being caught and partially buried in a slide in the Saratoga area, to the North of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort boundary.
