Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Although unlikely, you may still be able to trigger an avalanche in drifted snow on slopes just beneath ridgelines, in cross-loaded gullies, and downhill of steep, convex rollovers. Backcountry travelers should also be wary of steep slopes with continuous coverage of unconsolidated snow where triggering a small, loose snow avalanche is possible. Staying on low-angle, wind-sheltered slopes is the best way to avoid these problems.
