Points saillants
At the mid and upper elevations very strong winds have transported available snow into slabs to two feet in depth in steep, lee areas near ridge crests and on cross loaded slopes below crests. The slabs may be firm and the second or later person on the slope may be the trigger. Yesterday slides were reported on the First Turn slope near Teton Pass and other steep areas just under cliff bands. At low elevations warming temperatures and/or rain will make naturally releasing wet-loose slides possible on road cuts, steep slopes and roof tops.
