Weeks of spring conditions with little precipitation has resulted in a consolidated and mostly stable snowpack. Avalanches are not expected in the backcountry today.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Southwest to west winds are to increase overnight to fifteen to twenty mile per hour averages with higher and common gusts. These winds are to continue through Saturday. Weak moisture will bring increasing clouds and a chance for isolated to scattered showers in the form of rain at the lower and snow at the higher elevations. Mountain temperatures are to rise from the mid teens to the low to mid thirties. The general avalanche is to be Low on Saturday with avalanches unlikely in the mostly stable snowpack.
