Human triggered slab avalanches are possible in steep terrain at the upper elevations and in isolated areas at the mid elevations (8,000 to 9,000 feet). Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations. Suspect areas include steep avalanche paths, cliff areas and terrain traps.

Temperatures at the upper elevations have been slowly warming since early yesterday evening. This trend is expected to continue. Overnight lows will drop into the teens at the upper elevations and rise to near 30 degrees during the day. Winds will back towards the west-southwest. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate above an elevation of 8,500 to 9,000 feet and to be LOW below that elevation. At the upper elevations avalanches up to 18 inches in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas.
