Points saillants

Triggering an avalanche on Sunday will be unlikely, due to lack of snow at lower elevations and continued warm, dry weather.

Avalanche Discussion

Our weather pattern has not changed in the last few days, and therefore, neither has the avalanche hazard. Below 7,000' feet, there is not enough snow. However, the alpine is holding more snow. If you venture up high looking for turns on Sunday, watch for signs of snow instability (though it would be unlikely). Other hazards that could pose a risk relate to a thin snowpack: shallow-buried rocks, trees, or crevasses.

It looks like winter may finally show up in the next 7-10 days!
