Forecast Snow Stability: Good general stability. The patchy mature snowpack will remain well bonded. Some minor surface wet snow instability is possible later in the day on steep East to South aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Light overnight snow showers dying out by midnight, then dry with some hazy sunshine during the day. Cold overnight but progressively milder during the day. Light to moderate Westerly winds easing to very light Southerly later. Observed Weather Influences: Cold. A few snow showers mainly later in the period. Light to moderate North-West winds. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy old snowpack is well bonded and stable. A few new accumulations of windslab on East to South aspects, tending to be confined to coire rims and gully tops above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
