Avalanche Summary

Warm temperatures and sunshine will cause the snow on most sunny slopes to melt, making it easy to trigger a small but possibly dangerous avalanche in the afternoon. Watch for rollerballs and small natural avalanches below cliffs and rock outcrops as a sign that the snowpack is warming up, and you should avoid steep, sunny slopes.
