Avalanche Summary

You could trigger a large avalanche that breaks on weak layers near the ground. Avalanches will be larger on wind-drifted slopes at upper elevations that face northerly and easterly. Use caution around wind-drifted areas that feel stiff or have a smooth rounded appearance.

In areas sheltered from the wind, avalanches may be smaller, but still dangerous. Safer travel options can be found on slopes less than about 30 degrees.
