Avalanche Summary

Recent snowfall has created fresh slabs that can be easily triggered on most steep slopes. Most avalanches will be small but could grow large enough to bury or kill you in wind-drifted areas at higher elevations. The threat of triggering a larger avalanche that steps deeper into the snowpack remains. Low-angle slopes less than about 30 degrees without steep slopes above offer the safest riding options. Even small avalanches can knock you off your feet or machine, drag you into trees, or bury you deeply in a gulley.
