Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Cloud cover will increase overnight ahead of a Pacific low pressure system which will start to bring snow to the area late Wednesday. Overnight lows in the mountains and valleys will be in the mid 20s before rising to near freezing up high and near 50 down low. Ridgetop winds will be southwesterly at 5 to 15 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW Wednesday after a completed melt-freeze cycle makes the snowpack mostly stable. Cloud cover and cooler daytime highs should prevent wet slide activity.
